What is Dive?
Dive is a virtual video conferencing tool used by employees while working remotely. For this project, the idea was to create a feature that will nudge team members to share their best moments while using and interacting with the platform.

So what's the problem?
Teams who get to the "aha' moment with Dive have a lot of fun. Can we nudge them to share these team bonding moments with others? And how can we prove to the team admins that their team is loving Dive?

How was it solved?
I created a feature called Memories. Just like the name, the idea was to capture special moments during team meetings and share them.
To spur team members to use the feature, I designed social proof CTA and gamified the experience to highlight the benefits of using the feature in form of rewards that can be used to redeem/unlock exciting features like backdrops, sounds, filters, reactions, etc. You can walk through the process below.

// Home screen showing the primary button for the Memories feature (bottom centre) and social proof CTA (bottom right).

// Screen capture modal

// Screen capturing in progress

// Screen capturing completed

// Team member decides whether to share instantly or save for later

// This modal opens up when the team member decides to share instantly

// This modal opens up when a memory has been shared. The team member earns a reward for sharing.

// The social proof CTA changes from "capture now" to share now if the team member cancels sharing in the middle of the journey
What about the admin?
The team admin gets an automatic update or notification when a memory is captured and shared. The feature flow below summarises this.

Cool! What else went into this?
Before arriving at the final design, a lot of thought went into the process. Here's a rundown of the proess. This might be a little lengthy but stay with me.

Assumptions
The potential users of this feature are familiar with Dive and how it works, understand sharing and use/interact with platforms that have similar patterns.

I ask a lot of questions
How can we ensure that new feature does not take away from the key objectives of Dive and negatively impact the quality of work?
What does the user stand to gain from using the feature?
How can we make this feature feel natural to Dive and easy to use?

Can't forget about the business requirements
The feature must:
Spur the user to act
Be supported by other features relevant to the platform
Possess qualities that allow for a shareable experience across various media
Have measureable KPIs
